Challenge: With 40 plus franchises in the Greater New England Area, Sal approached Snakebite, Inc. for help. Sales were declining in an over saturated marketplace with competitors such as Panera Bread, Chipolte, Subway, etc.

Approach: Snakebite, Inc. began by visiting all 40 locations to analyze the current state of the business and the brand. We spoke with the executive team, district managers, store managers, crew members and customers.

Conclusion: After several months of research the overarching issue became clear. There was a lack of consistency in the brand. As as solution Snakebite, Inc. wrote a Mission Statement as a basis for the cultural change and business pillars moving forward: “Authentically Italian, Locally Inspired, Passionately Innovative”. Snakebite, Inc. partnered with architects, interior designers, planners, landscape architects, construction administrators and mechanical engineers in the development and execution of the store environment and design. Snakebite, Inc. redesigned Sal’s Pizza logo to embrace their history, origin and heritage. We recreated the dining experience by bringing the brand to life through packaging, menus, promotional items, interior and exterior signage, point of sale material, staff uniforms, corporate identity, packaging, delivery vehicles and photography. Snakebite constructed a Brand Standard Guide for all franchise owners to utilize and reference in understanding the new brand voice and to ensure consistency across all Sal’s Pizza locations.

Result: Sal’s Pizza sales increased by 19%.
